Warranty Policy

SEEMOPEN stands behind the quality of its products. This Warranty Policy explains the warranty coverage, exclusions, claim process, available remedies, and return conditions that apply to eligible SEEMOPEN products.

This limited warranty is provided in addition to any mandatory consumer rights available under applicable law. Nothing in this policy excludes or limits rights that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.

1. 18-Month Limited Warranty

Eligible SEEMOPEN products are covered by an 18-month limited warranty beginning on the original date of purchase.

If an eligible product is confirmed to have a defect in materials or workmanship during normal and intended use, SEEMOPEN may provide one of the following remedies:

  • Repair of the defective product or component
  • Replacement of the defective product or component
  • A functionally equivalent replacement where the same model is unavailable
  • A refund or another remedy where required by applicable law

A repaired or replacement product remains covered for the remainder of the original warranty period or for any minimum period required by law.

2. What the Warranty Covers

This warranty covers confirmed defects in materials or workmanship that arise during normal use within the warranty period.

Examples may include:

  • A product that does not power on under normal operating conditions
  • A confirmed internal hardware failure
  • A manufacturing defect affecting recording or normal operation
  • A defective component supplied with the original product
  • Another fault confirmed by SEEMOPEN to result from materials or workmanship

Warranty coverage is determined after reasonable troubleshooting, review, or inspection.

3. What the Warranty Does Not Cover

The limited warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Cosmetic damage that does not affect product operation
  • Damage caused by drops, impacts, collisions, accidents, misuse, or neglect
  • Liquid, moisture, fire, corrosion, or chemical damage
  • Use outside the stated operating or storage conditions
  • Incorrect installation, improper cable routing, or unsuitable mounting
  • Incorrect voltage, unstable power, power surges, or incompatible power accessories
  • Use with unauthorized, damaged, or incompatible accessories
  • Use of an unsupported, damaged, or insufficient-speed memory card
  • Damage caused by installing incorrect or incompatible firmware
  • Unauthorized disassembly, repair, modification, or alteration
  • Products with removed, damaged, or altered serial numbers
  • Loss, theft, deliberate damage, or damage caused by a third party
  • Failure caused by a vehicle, third-party device, external system, or network service
  • Products outside the applicable warranty period
  • Issues that cannot be reproduced or confirmed after reasonable testing

Unless required by law, the warranty does not cover installation, removal, reinstallation, vehicle repair, data recovery, lost recordings, lost income, or other indirect or incidental costs.

4. Warranty Claim Requirements

To request warranty service, contact SEEMOPEN and provide the information reasonably needed to identify and assess the issue.

You may be asked to provide:

  • A valid order number or proof of purchase
  • The product model and serial number, where available
  • The purchase date
  • A clear description of the problem
  • Photographs or a short video showing the issue
  • Hardware and firmware information
  • Memory card, power, installation, or accessory details where relevant

SEEMOPEN may provide troubleshooting instructions before authorizing a return. Products returned without prior authorization may be refused or delayed.

5. Inspection and Available Remedies

If a return is required, follow the return instructions provided by SEEMOPEN. The product may be inspected to confirm the reported issue and determine whether it is covered by this warranty.

Where a covered defect is confirmed, SEEMOPEN may repair the product, replace the affected component, provide an equivalent product, or provide another remedy required by law.

If the same model is unavailable, a replacement may differ in appearance, packaging, production revision, or minor specifications while providing substantially equivalent functionality.

6. Warranty Shipping

Where a warranty claim is confirmed as eligible, SEEMOPEN will cover reasonable return and replacement shipping costs.

If inspection shows that the issue is not covered by this warranty, the customer may be responsible for return shipping, re-delivery, inspection, or repair costs where permitted by law. Any charge will be communicated before further action is taken.

7. Recordings, Memory Cards, and Stored Data

Before returning a product, remove the memory card and back up any important recordings or files.

Do not include a memory card unless SEEMOPEN specifically asks you to provide it for inspection.

To the extent permitted by law, SEEMOPEN is not responsible for the loss, corruption, deletion, or disclosure of recordings or other data stored on a returned product or storage device.

8. 30-Day Return Policy

Eligible products may be returned within 30 days of delivery.

To qualify for a standard return:

  • The return request must be submitted within 30 days of delivery
  • The product must be in good condition
  • All original accessories and components must be included
  • The original packaging should be included where reasonably possible
  • Proof of purchase must be provided
  • The product must not show misuse, unauthorized modification, or avoidable damage

Returned products are inspected before a refund is approved.

If the return results from a confirmed product defect, shipping damage, or an incorrect item supplied by SEEMOPEN, SEEMOPEN will cover reasonable return shipping costs. For a change-of-mind return or another reason unrelated to a defect or fulfilment error, the customer may be responsible for return shipping where permitted by law.

9. Refund Processing

Approved refunds are normally processed within 3–5 business days after the returned product has been received and inspected.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Your bank or payment provider may require additional time to display the refund.

Original shipping charges and optional delivery fees may be non-refundable unless the return results from a confirmed defect, fulfilment error, or applicable law requires otherwise.

10. Mandatory Consumer Rights

This limited warranty and return policy do not replace, exclude, or reduce any mandatory rights available under applicable consumer protection law.

Where local law provides a longer legal guarantee or additional rights to repair, replacement, price reduction, cancellation, or refund, those rights continue to apply.
